The Toyota Vitz, as it is known in japan, is named Yaris in the European market, this car was never released in the united states, but was released in 2003 on the Canadian market known as the Toyota Echo. I'll pick Toyota (one of my many favorite brands) as an example. JDM refers to Japanese Domestic Market, in short it's basically any vehicle that was specifically made to apply to the design rules and regulations a vehicle must apply to be sold in Japan.
